For Humor's Sake :)
Everything from Moby Wraps to pregnant belly sling supports to speculums are sparking our interest. Maybe we're odd? Maybe this is normal? I'm not sure. Someone should probably tell us... Books. Books are also intriguing. I may have purchased a few and another should be on its way as I type this. I got a baby sign language book too. Now how nifty is that? Pretty nifty if you ask me. A way to communicate before they can communicate! Verbally at least. Needless to say we're excited to get our new addition into Jamie's belly and welcome it into our world. Although I'm not the best with details regarding the pregnancy I'm excited to have this little bee bee and to start our own little family. It's funny that I said little, though, because this baby's family will be far from little and that's one thing that I think is safe to say we're both very excited about. Our little girl or guy.. hopefully both eventually.. will be so incredibly loved. That's just great to think about :) Makes my little heart just want to burst with joy.
Good luck! When we first started our journey a 1.5 years ago we were doing the exact same thing and we still are. Its hard not to! Good luck on your journey!
ReplyDeleteI'm having my first IUI this month and I have been buying baby stuff for over a year now. I have a "secret baby closet" which is overflowing right now and all of my friends would think I'm crazy, if they knew about it! :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to follow your journey!
We have a roommate who doesn't really know about any of this...honestly the only people who know anything are us, my mom, our KD, & of course our lovely blogfriends!! Anyway, when we have things delivered to the house Court takes them straight to the bedroom so there are no questions. Sneaky sneaky :)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't gone as far as buying actual real baby things...yet(except for the Moby). But I'm sure a trip to Target isn't far away.
I think it's normal...we are starting next month (IVF) but we have been obsessively discussing prams, cots, names, how many embies to transfer back, when to start baby led weaning..... I have at times felt a bit ridiculous when there currently isn't baby but it's all part of the fun right? :o)
ReplyDeleteWow! Good Luck!! I venture to say you aren't from/in the states by the some of the lingo you used, Non-Fat-Gal...am I correct? I am sure everything will unfold perfectly for you both when you get to that day!
ReplyDeleteI am one of those girls who has obsessed over all things baby for as long as I can remember!! Oddly enough, I have calmed down so much lately. Court attributes it to being so close to actually flying to San Diego for our first try...she's probably right :) Saving up my anxieties until we board the plane!!
When do you go to SD? IVF/IUI....what's the plan? Really glad I stumbled across your blog - I'm blog obsessed at the moment (haha) and I am really enjoying following and supporting other couples on a similar path! :o)
ReplyDeleteWe are planning to go to SD the first week of August, and are going to try at home by ourselves at first!! We may be crazy, but I think after reading all that we have this is our best option for now.
ReplyDeleteI was totally blog/baby obsessed for a while, too!! It definitely is much more interesting to read and following along with actual real people.
